Some interesting news from the recent Cardano Summit in Dubai. BitcoinOS have succeeded in verifying the first ZK-Proof on Bitcoin, upgrading it to do everything that other blockchains can (albeit a little bit slower). And it did this without forking its code.
So this opens up a lot of interesting options and one of the first is that Cardano can become a smart contract layer for Bitcoin permitting permission-less transfer between the chains without a bridge or need for a trusted third party. This is a big deal and it has the potential to benefit both chains significantly.

Still some work to do before this available but likely we will see it go live in Q4-2024 which is very positive news!
