van Rossem Hard Fork

Governance Hard Fork Voting

It’s hard fork season again. The van Rossem upgrade — Cardano’s move to protocol version 11 — is open for voting, and we’ve cast ADAvault’s in favour across all four of our pools.

van Rossem is an intra-era hard fork: no era change, and transactions are built exactly as before. It brings a focused set of Plutus improvements — new built-in primitives and consistent behaviour across Plutus versions — alongside ledger and node-level hardening. It was recommended by Intersect’s Hard Fork Working Group and endorsed by its Technical Steering Committee, so it’s the network’s next coordinated step rather than anything contentious. The proposal has the detail.

We voted early because there was no reason to wait. The work to be ready for it is done, and a hard fork that widens what builders can do on Cardano is good for the ecosystem we’re all in. Block production carries on through the fork without interruption.

Each pool’s governance record, this vote included, is now visible on its pool page.
