cardano-node 11.0.1
It’s upgrade time again. ADAvault’s nodes are now running cardano-node 11.0.1, ahead of the upcoming Van Rossem hard fork (Cardano Protocol Version 11). Block production has been uninterrupted throughout.
11.0.1 is the first release that supports PV11. The hard fork isn’t live on mainnet yet, but every node has to be on an 11.x version before it can activate — upgrading early is what makes the eventual fork a non-event. The IntersectMBO release notes have the detail.
When PV11 activates it brings the remaining CIP-1694 governance functionality and a set of new Plutus primitives — bitwise operations, and RIPEMD-160 for Bitcoin interoperability. Alongside the node, mithril-signer reached its 1.0.0 production release; we took that at the same time.
Activation has a governance gate of its own — 85% of stake-by-pool needs to be on 11.x before it can proceed — so the network at large has to catch up. We’re ready well ahead of that.
We’re upgraded and ready, well ahead of the fork. Block production hasn’t missed a beat — which is the point of doing it early.
