Sam Leathers, the chair for the Intersect Product Roadmap Committee has just published the initial draft of the 2025 roadmap. It looks good.
It tackles the main priorities as we see them:
- Scaling the L1 engine (Leios, LSM trees, optimisation)
- Increasing liquidity (zk Proofs, Babel fees)
- L2 expansion (Partner chains/bridges, Hydra, Midgard, Peras)
- Developer experience (Libraries, API and standards)
- Programmable assets (Intent signatures, Soul-bound tokens)
- Multiple node implementations (Formal specification and tests)
- SPO incentives (Pledge-benefit curve a0)
Within these priorities the roadmap highlights some very interesting developments which could be tackled, especially in programmable assets where there are some primitives that can be added to the ledger that would enable new uses cases in DeFi and Identity.
