Cardano Metrics E1-259

We’ve been messing around with Cardano-db-sync which puts the entire block chain into a Postgres SQL database instance, and means you can easily access via SQL or PostgREST. This will allow us to start offering some better realtime stats for our delegators, and lay the foundations for some services we are planning to develop.

As a byproduct we took a few minutes out to put some data into a spreadsheet and this simple view of total transactions per epoch, total fees per epoch, and total value transferred tells a compelling growth story.

It’s a log plot, and we added some trend lines so you easily see the growth in the 2 key areas- total transactions, and total fees.

You might remember our arguments about Metcalfe’s law a while back, and why these are such strong indicators of growth in utility.
